Eddie and the Jade Plant

Earth Day Eve. Eddie is finally enjoying the good weather. The window is open behind him, and he regularly checks out the street activity.

Blue Scarf

I bought this blueberry slubby yarn in Baddeck at the Baadeck Yarn Shoppe (not a misspelling) last October. It's all hand spun and hand dyed in Nova Scotia, and I loved it immediately. I haven't really had time to do anything with the yarn, but I always knew I wanted a scarf for myself. Lucky for me it's a cold April.

King of the Mountain- or Kuna

This is unusual behaviour for Eddie, but he is gradually becoming comfortable with activities that Isaiah has long taken for granted: requesting pets, requesting food, sitting and standing on us, talking loudly, etc. He is also developing a nudging technique that reminds me of Barky. After this photo was taken, Eddie snuggled his head into my hair and snoozed.

Tony and Isaiah Asleep

We spent two nights at Tony's parents place this week, looking after Bailey, their dog. Isaiah was happy to get Tony's attention whenever he came back to visit.

The New Couch

Here's our new couch. It really belongs to the cats. Note that Tony has shaved!

Recent Cat Activity

Yes, this last one is of Eddie. Change the bed day is his favourite day.

Reversing Falls Train Bridge

Anyone missing home? This is what the bridge looked like last Sunday. Tony and I were walking back from Sampan's on the West Side which has been turned into a dimsum restuarant on the weekends. It was good, but expensive. I was supposed to be taking photos on the theme of winter for class. This one wasn't good enough to submit, but I rather like it. It feels like SJ.

The Cat

In the last picture he is holding one of his Christmas gifts from Bjorn, a container of catnip.

Lobster Man: Bjorn

Of the pictures shot with Bjorn and his prized Christmas present this one turned out best, thankfully.

On the Laundry

I came home to find the laundry folded on the bed, and Eddie asleep on it. When he saw me, he thoughtfully turned over to give me easy access to his belly.

Fashionista Accessory

Tony turned his ankle last week in a soccer game. As a result, he does things like this: tape an ice bag to his ankle. He also has heating pads that are designed to wrap around his ankle, but nothing more practical for ice. I sense a market opportunity.
